Lotterywest Best Practice in LGBTI Inclusion

This award recognises the outstanding progress or contribution towards eradicating discrimination and enhancing the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people. Recipients of this award will have developed and implemented programs, practices and/or polices that positively promote equality and inclusion for LGBTI people within the workplace and/or broader community.

Open To

  • Organisations only. 
  • Must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the inclusion of LGBTI people in the workplace and/or community.
  • Program, practice or policies being nominated need to have commenced within the last year, or been significantly amended in the last year, or the nomination needs to focus on the outcomes within the last year (for a previously established project, program or initiative).

How to nominate for this award:

  1. Ensure you have carefully read the general How to Nominate page (in particular the Nomination Checklist)
  2. Download and complete the Award Assessment Criteria Document (see below)
  3. Upload the completed Assessment Criteria with a brief summary statement (100 words) and details of at least one referee to the Online Entry Form.

  • C1: Provide a brief overview of the organisations program, practice or policy being nominated
     
  • C2: Excellence should be demonstrated through:
    • The program, practice or policy is planned and supported through inclusive and appropriate consultation
    • The program, practice or policy is clearly communicated and understood by key stakeholders
    • Program planning incorporates long-term considerations to ensure outcomes are sustainable for LGBTI people
    • The culture and values of the organisation are aligned to support the successful delivery of the program
    • The program, practice or policy supports LGBTI people within the organisation or community‚Äč
       
  • C3: The program, practice or policy has achieved (or will achieve) positive outcomes for LGBTI people. Intended outcomes must be clearly defined and measurable as described in an evaluation plan
     
  • C4: Workplace testimonials and/or beneficiary testimonials
