Lisa-M. Scaffidi
The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor

Lisa proudly calls Perth home and as a West Australian born Lord Mayor of Perth speaks strongly for her city locally, nationally and internationally.

Lord Mayor since 2007, Lisa is also a serving Board Member on many local NFP Boards and Committees in areas from community building / infrastructure through to public art, annual events and festivals and Chair of the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund - the State’s official fund for locals impacted by natural disaster (most commonly summer bushfires).

Lisa is passionate about city economic development and branding, smart, sustainable city growth and ensuring we also focus on the attitude and people skills of all key city stakeholders to raise standards of service and heighten the appeal of our capital city and ensure its relevance and resonance with all demographics.   Recent City additions such as the water labyrinth in Forrest Place, improved City lighting and the City's greater focus on communication with people via social media has been part of her mission to 'Get Perth Moving'.  Lisa is a change agent but keen to ensure those not able embrace the changes through strong and clear communications.

During her tenure Lisa has been Chair of the World Energy Cities Partnership; Ambassador of Study Perth and our annual Perth Fashion Festival.  Lisa is a strong communicator and enjoys promoting Perth and Western Australia and its abundant strengths and opportunities at every opportunity while also working with various organisations to bring more business and investment to our city and state..

With a keen focus on youth - Lisa also inspires and mentors young West Australians to realise they can fulfil their dreams and career goals from the comfort of home.  With technology and globalisation world differences are blurring and borders are disappearing.  As Lord Mayor Lisa has also worked closely with the homeless and served as Patron to a number of local Charities.

Prior to being Lord Mayor Lisa was the State Director of CEDA (the Committee for Economic Development of Australia) for ten years and a serving Councillor for 7 years. Lisa has also worked in the hotel and airline industries and has been a Director in local property developments.
