Mr. Eric Lumsden PSM Director General Department of Planning, and private consultant Mr. Christopher Williams have been awarded a National Fellow, the highest recognition from the Institute of Public Administration Australia at a gala dinner in Hobart Tasmania on Thursday 25 August 2011.

National President Percy Allen AM, announced the recipients of the National Fellow Award for 2011. The awardees are nominated by the President of each State and must be Personal Members of the Institute.

Alison Petrie, Chief Executive of the WA Institute collected the Awards on behalf of the recipients who were not able to attend and said she was very proud of the nominations.

“The process is comprehensive and the national judging panel look at the nominees contribution to public service, their work history and their accomplishments,” Mrs Petrie said.

“It is a stringent judging process and not all nominees may be selected, so it’s an honour for our WA members to be recognised, as they are both worthy participants.”
