New CEO for Peak Public Sector Body

The WA Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA WA) is pleased to welcome Mr Gavin Lewis as their new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Lewis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing an association and was previously CEO at Volleyball WA for 13 years. He also brings together his education in finance and business administration to this role.

“I am ready to take on a new challenge and I believe the Institute is in a good position to meet new challenges.”

“The Institute has done a remarkable job over the last few years, and Alison Petrie (previous CEO) and the staff should be commended for their very good work. It is now time for IPAA WA to capitalize on this growth and to look to the future in terms of consolidating and diversifying to meet the needs of an ever changing market.”

Mr Lewis went on to explain that “As the professional association for the public sector, I want the Institute to be more visible across Western Australia. I believe that business success is all about partnerships and I am keen to develop a shared vision for the Institute in the sector and develop mutually beneficial partnerships to achieve that vision.”
