PSM Program Celebrates 20 Years

The Western Australia Institute of Public Administration (IPAA) recognised outstanding achievement at the 20th Anniversary Public Sector Management (PSM) Program graduation on Thursday 10th May at the Duxton Hotel.

Acting Chief Executive Audra Young presented the Certificates of Academic Excellence to Claire Ditri, Department of Sport and Recreation, and valedictorian’s Petro Scafidas, Department of Mines and Petroleum and Paula Dewhurst, Central Institute of Technology.

The three students each received a Young Professional Membership to the Institute.

“The Institute understands the significance of a skilled and efficient public sector workforce and is pleased to be supporting such a great program,” Mrs Young said.

The Public Sector Management (PSM) Program, conducted over 12 months, is a joint venture between Commonwealth, state, territory, and local governments of Australia. The key objective of the PSM Program is to enhance the knowledge and skills of middle to senior public sector managers and emerging leaders.

Students who complete the course receive a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management.
