The inaugural winners of the 2012 WA Institute of Public Administration Achievement Awards will be announced at a special Awards luncheon on 29 June 2012.

The Achievement Awards aim to recognise individual and organisational excellence in public service.

Message from the President

I am delighted to advise you of a new initiative of the WA Institute of Public Administration, created to recognise and reward excellence in public service.

The Institute is pleased to launch the WA Institute of Public Administration Awards for Achievement 2012.

The awards have been designed to acknowledge and celebrate the success of both individual and organisational achievement across a number of areas.

We have spent over twelve months developing the concept for the awards, the award categories and the judging process. There are fourteen awards in total and we believe the Awards will appeal to a number of individuals and organisations.

The judging process will be rigorous and we are confident that, like our  W.S. Lonnie Awards for Excellence in Annual Reports, these Awards will become an annual event that many in the public service aspire to.

I encourage you to nominate for the Awards and wish you and your organisation every success.

Sue McCarrey
President and Co-Chair Judging Panel
