This one-day course is designed to introduce basic project management principles, tools, and techniques to give structure and confidence to general business as well as your projects. These include but are not limited to project scoping, scheduling and planning, benefits management, risk identification and analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Also included are a range of related templates that can be easily adapted for use in the workplace. This introductory session is for anyone who is new to project management, whether they seek to add rigour to ad hoc projects and business initiatives, or consolidate informal skills.

Course Content

Participants learn steps to define and manage a project/initiative through the use of established principles, tools and techniques, including risk and benefits management, stakeholder engagement and the project lifecycle, as they apply across a range of sectors and industries. This hands-on course provides opportunities to apply new learnings to a current project/initiative and gives each participant a customisable toolkit to take back to the workplace.
