Collaborative Leadership: Create a Culture to Empower Employees

Collaborative Leadership: Create a Culture to Empower Employees

Learn to lead collaboratively, fostering autonomy, accountability, and agility. Gain the right skills and strategies for today's interconnected work environment, promoting teamwork, adaptability, and empowerment

Overview

The way we work is changing fast. We need new ways of organising people and teams, and a fresh approach to leadership. In this workshop you will learn how a team-centric approach works, and how collaborative leadership can create more efficient and effective organisations. With this model, we see that leadership is not what a person in power does. Rather, it is a dynamic process between people that directs and aligns their work. The old top-down hierarchical model of leadership worked well for manufacturing business and command economies after it was taken up in the early 20th century. It was good at applying control and maintaining accountability. But today we are operating in a very different world, where complexity and interconnectedness are increasing exponentially. Today work flows sideways across departments, as much as up and down the chain of command. We now need decisions made quickly and responsibly at all levels. This requires fresh ways of maintaining accountability, fresh approaches to control. The best way to learn these is to experience being one of a team that works within the new collaborative leadership paradigm. In this workshop participants will get just this experience. They will also learn the skills to apply what they learn to their own workplace.
