Course Overview

So you’ve done the engagement, you’ve completed the report - how do you know if you have achieved the desired outcomes?

• Has the process increased community confidence in your organisation?
• Was a better decision reach?
• Will implementation be cost effective of the decisions?
• Has the process reduced conflict?
• Are people better informed about the issues?
• The breadth of community and stakeholder engagement can make it difficult to determine if all the investment has been worth while as such evaluation can often be overlooked. However, this lack empirical data can make it more difficult to get the budget for future strategies.

This full day workshop will provide participants with existing research and case studies on evaluations of engagement initiatives. The course facilitator will be joined by practitioners within government, who currently evaluate and quality assure engagement processes.

Presenter Information

Joel Levin provides organisational development and facilitation services across the state predominately working with Federal, State and Local government agencies and Not-For-Profit organisations. Delivering across most sectors (health, indigenous, infrastructure, community, education, arts, environment) his work includes: design and facilitation of community or stakeholder engagement sessions, organisational reviews, change management, strategic and business planning and coaching.

Joel has an educational background including Community Engagement (Certificate Public Participation), Neuro Linguistic Programming (Master Practitioner), Training and Assessment (Dip Training and Assessment) and is a full member Psychotherapists and Counsellors Association of WA.
