Expressions of Interest close 24 May 2023
Are you an early to mid-career professional working in the public sector, including local, state, federal government, and non-profit organisations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are proud to introduce our latest program, “Coffee with a CEO.”
As a selected participant, you will join a small group of professionals from across the public sector for a group conversation with a CEO over coffee. This year, we have lined up a series of CEOs from public sector organisations, each with their own unique perspectives and experiences to share.
The purpose of this program is to provide a platform for professionals in the public sector to connect and network with each other, as well as gain valuable insights from successful CEOs. Every month, you will have the opportunity to connect with a new CEO, discuss your career goals and aspirations, and gain valuable advice from a successful leader.
Series information
- Please register your interest for each session you wish to attend (you are unable to register for the whole series).
- In registering your interest, you will be requested to provide a brief statement of 55-100 words about why you would like to attend.
- Places on each session are strictly limited to 8 participants. As such, please only register your interest if you are available to attend that session.
- After registering your interest, we will select 8 participants to attend – a place is not guaranteed.
- You can expect to hear from us, confirming whether you have been successful or not, two weeks prior to each session date.

Melanie Gates | CEO, Diabetes WA
Melanie Gates is a senior executive with deep experience in developing and executing strategy, guiding business transformation and leading large multi-functional teams. Melanie is currently the CEO at Diabetes WA, the states peak body for individuals living with or at risk of Diabetes.
Her broader executive experience includes Head of Transformation for Ramsay Healthcare, Hospital CEO and Hospital Executive roles.
She is passionate about innovation, patient centred care and leading teams to deliver outstanding services.
