Unearthing digital skills and building workforce capability

Amid a skills crunch IPAA WA members are being challenged in their ability to seize the opportunity presented by rapid advancements in digital tools.

The Australian Computer Society’s 2025 Digital Pulse Survey released last week and identifies a prospective solution “There are over 1.1 million workers who have very similar skills and complete similar tasks to tech workers who could support workforce growth.”

Alongside this opportunity workforce capability is being reappraised by human resource professionals and business leaders through the concept of ‘skills based organisations’.

To ensure that you get across this news sooner than later we have secured a representative from the ACS to speak to the report and a leader in the area of ‘skills based organisations to deliver this short sharp ‘espresso’ strength briefing.

You will have the chance to consider what ‘similar skills’ look like, how to identify them and whether a skills based approach to structuring would serve your team or organisation in overcoming the skills crunch and delivering digital transformation sooner.

This session is ideal for those responsible for workforce capability, project managers delivering IT projects and IT leaders.
