Join us as we explore the key insights from the 2026 WA State Budget and investigate what it means for the sector, the State and your organisation.
We are delighted to host WA Under Treasurer, Joann Wilkie PSM, who will deliver the keynote presentation at this year’s IPAA WA Budget Briefing.
IPAA WA’s State Budget Briefing is a trio of firsts in 2026.
We are proud to host WA’s first female Under Treasurer, Joann Wilkie PSM, when she presents her first IPAA WA Budget Briefing about her first WA State Budget. Ms Wilkie will conduct the keynote speech against a backdrop of our State’s expected continued growth, its economic pressures and opportunities, and the disruption of the world economic order.
Western Australian Treasury Corporation CEO Kaylene Gulich is the second speaker at our 2026-27 State Budget briefing about the WA Government’s annual financial plan this year.
Following a 2026-27 Budget update from the Under Treasurer Joane Wilkie, Kaylene will provide a brief view of the State’s funding task, financial market conditions, and the approach the WATC takes to raise the required funds and manage the ongoing refinancing duties for WA in support of the Budget.
The briefing is your chance to get an easily understood, comprehensive view of the Budget in this context. This includes its impact on the public service and an understanding of the Government’s priorities.
The briefing provides clarity for your organisation’s responsibilities in the Budget and insight into how prepared our State is for economic change.
You can expect to hear clear, expert analysis and insights in plain English, and will be able to bring your questions to the facilitated conversation.
The information and the opinion will support your work with annual budgeting and enhance your ability to conduct strategic planning.
It may consider WA’s current and forecast economic conditions, including the GST debate.
You will strengthen your leadership abilities when making decisions at your organisation because you are familiar with the State’s economic plan for the next 12 months.
