Each year the IPAA WA Public Service Young Professionals’ Conference provides a platform to discuss the important issues affecting young professionals and those who are early in their journey serving citizens.
The theme and program for the 2025 Conference was developed by the IPAA WA Young Professional Committee for their fellow young professionals working every day serving citizens across this vast state. The Committee is drawn from across all areas of public service, with members working across local, state, and commonwealth government and the community sector in Western Australia. This year’s theme was ‘WA 2050: The Future of the Public Service Reimagined’.
Graduates, early and mid-career YPs united for the Conference, as the incredible line-up of speakers provided insights to help them navigate the journey of a professional career serving citizens. Through their collective experience, wisdom and captivating nature, the conference speakers explored the following topics:
- Systems thinking
- The essential skillset for success
- Learning and growing after knockbacks
- Career planning
